Scenes from Bumthang
This is the main traffic circle in the town of Jakar, a central point for the roads connecting East and West Bhutan. There's so little traffic that a puppy dog decided to take a nap in the middle of the road. The roads to Simtokha and Tashigang are 260 and 284km, respectively, but on mountain roads intrinsic to Bhutan, these are very long journeys of several days to those towns. |
