Phil's All Embracing Bhutan Slide Show Scenes from Wangdue Phodrang We stopped in the center of Wangdue Phodrang, a village near a large Bhutanese army base in western Bhutan. Perhaps because of the nearby army base, it has a vibe that is a little bit more "yahoo" than the rest of Bhutan. Young village urchins were excited to see a tour bus of westerners. These are a bunch of young Wangdue teens. The boys instantly took a liking to the teenage girls on our bus and were a bit aggressive, in contrast to teenage boys in other villages. Back Next Page 136.
