Phil's Mondo India Slide Show Sights of Mt. Abu One of the main reasons for going to Mt Abu was to see a famous Jain temple that is done completely in marble, and truly an astonishing building. Unfortunately, no pictures were allowed. Outside the Acheleshwar Mahadeva temple stands the ubiquitous Nandi Bull, but this one is particularly spectacular, as it is almost life sized and made of gold, brass, silver, copper. A magnificent bull. Mt Abu is home to the world headquarters of the Brahma Kumaris Spiritual University and organization, which supposedly has 400 branches worldwide, but was news to me! It was a very clean place, which I heartily appreciate, and the best front lawn in all of India! Back Next Page 85.
