Power To the Penis!
The exterior whitewashed walls of Bhutanese homes are often decorated with sacred symbols, and one
of the most sacred is the symbol of the penis. Generally speaking it's sword-like shape is supposedly
a hedge against evil spirits entering the house, but it also could be a fertility symbol, or a symbol
of the great tantric saint of Bhutan, Drugpa Kunley, whose penis was kept very busy during his lifetime.

These paintings gave me an idea for decorating my own home, but I suspect a penis drawing is some kind
of code violation.

Penis drawings come in all types of ornateness, some spewing flowers. The creature on the right may be a Garuda bird.
