		 Visit To A Nunnery

One afternoon we visited a nunnery that Lama Palden had a connection to when she lived in Thimphu. Unfortunately,
and as is often the case, nunneries do not get equal levels of government support as do the large monasteries around
the country. But I've been told that it's changing. However, I did not see a dramatic difference in this nunnery
in comparison with the monasteries that we visited in Bhutan - perhaps they get adequate private funding.

Two nuns in the afternoon sun. This nunnery is currently presided over by a Lama, Tang Rinpoche, who immediately
felt a strong connection to us, and felt that we were manifestations of a dream he had the night before. We met
with Tang that day and later in our travels back to Thimphu.

Two nuns fooling around in the afternoon. At this age, and with short cropped hair, it would be difficult to
distinguish the gender of these young renunciates.
