Sights of Ramana Ashram
Here are some of the workers employed by the ashram. This crew of women were clearing out a stream bed in
the back of the property closest to the mountain. The tall woman in the center had a yellow face, saw this all over
Southern India - turns out that women use turmeric on their face as a cosmetic. Cheaper than western cleansing
lotions, and probably just as effective.
