is brushing his teeth with a wooden branch called "Neem", which has a kind of minty flavor and antiseptic effect.
It 's actually mind-blowing considering how dirty the water of the Ganges river is. |

The night of the full moon Kattika festival was one monster of a party - fireworks, dances, theatre, lighted ghats, and general good clean Hindu fun. Some fellow Californians and I rented a boat to get a water's view of the festivities. This is a nearby ghat lit up with ghee candles. A lot of work went into these candle works. |
