Phil's Mondo India Slide Show Sights of Varanasi I met a couple on their honeymoon, and it turned out that they lived about 5 miles from my home - small world! These are scenes from the boat taxi we rented on the night of the Kattika festival. Each ghat had their candles in particular designs. Don't know what this means but it looked cool The good people of Varanasi had several fireworks displays going on at river's edge, some as good as any American July 4th display.
