Sights of Varanasi

One final close-up of the morning full moon bathing of the Kattika festival. I first felt a little voyueristic taking pictures of people bathing, but many fellow Indians were doing a lot of picture taking - though some of the bathers don't like it.

Just down the road from my hotel, is the Hotel Temple on the Ganges, which caters to mostly European yoga practitioners. It has a strategic rooftop restaurant, and I spent many a afternoon under an umbrella, avoiding the heat, taking lunch and watching the sights of Varanasi from on high...You can see the riverboat taxis on the lower right of the photo.
